Thursday I played at the bank of England, one of the home team had a Colt Cricket Comp bat.

Saturday I umpired as Hosk's team pulled out, Deddington 2nd Vs Kilkenny 2nd.

The Deddington opener had M&H bat pads and he later kept with M&H gloves, all very nice. Did have a sneaky look at his bat during drinks, nasty crack up near the splice.

Also on show in the Kilkenny side were Ayrtex gloves and pads and a rather big kippax bat.

which pitch were you on? did you get to bat on the main square?
not so much of a road if you are on the records office pitch or the Brook

the bank players get a bit of a discount off the colt bats. they are usually pretty decent.

We played on the pitch on the left as you drive in. Not the main pitch, but very nice.  Young Indian kid had the Colt bat, by far there best bat.

Played Esher on Saturday, spotted a Woodstock which looked superb and briefly went well - then saw a Blueroom with the old stickers - he wasn't around long though as he edged some of my left arm filth!!

Redback Paradox on display at the youth finals day we hosted on Sunday, lad didn't get hold of too much on a green track though. Also one Ayrtek helmet.
Disappointingly low representation of the smaller brands!

Also last weekend a lad was using, I think, an Alyas bat that went extremely well with some massive sixes.

A lad playing for Surrey U16s was wearing an Ayrtek lid today, didn't get to see what model though. He was also using an M&H Distinction

One of the guys I play with on a saturday has just got an M&H original with a super short handle, and retro stickers to boot.  Looked absolutely lovely, apart from the middle being too high for my liking.  Another kid scored his first senior 50 with a brand new bradbury.  Went like an absolute train too, even though it didn't look or feel that big!

Saw one of the Lukeys own bats in use at the weekend - very impressive and the guy really knew how to use it too.

I wasn't playing in that game, ours had finished embarrassingly early, so I was watching another while having a social drink.

Played a team from Hampshire yesterday, on show were a few Chase bats and a Funky bat.  One chase bats was 3" longer than normal, 1.5" longer blade and 1.5" longer handle, it was being used by a giant!!!  He went up to Chase and had it made for him by Dan while he was there.
