So many Custom Bat manufacturers

Having just broke my sponsored Kookaburra Kahuna (not mine before you start, bought it of our pro 2 years ago) two nights ago, I need a new bat, and quite fancy a custom bat after using GN's, Kook's and GM's.

Was wondering where would be the best place to start for G1 bat as I'm an opening batsman with a budget of about £180 as I'm not up for spending £300+? I know there are many forum sponsers etc, but what other smaller manufacturers would be recommended?  Tazz? Fusion? Lekka? Piranha? CF?

All advice and criticism welcomed

Charlie French are great, I have no first hand experience of any of the other brands..one of them I had never even heard of!

The fact is, any of the companies you mention plus the forum sponsors can produce for you a great bat, so find what's in your budget then pick on stickers and profile! It's probably easiest that way otherwise it's just going to get complicated... ;)

most of the sponsors on here will be able to help and in your budget.

look in their sections, find some stickers/shape you like and speak to the brand owner.

p.s. it feels to me like you need something with a mid to low middle and a nice swing weight, but a light pickup, so possible something in the 2lbs8 region lots of choice there.

There are plenty of good custom brands on here, my suggestion would be go with the company that you like - all of the bats will be to a similar standard.

Another way would be to save yourself some money as there are plenty of top class bats people are selling 2nd hand on here that have even hardly been used.

I think with that budget you can pretty much take your pick on here and get a very good bat. Might be an idea to check through the manufacturers listed on here to find the ones closest to you and pay them a visit?

No mate! Tazz! Never heard of them! I googled them but no pics of the bats on their website.....not a good start!

If you're in Ireland you should have a chat to JohnnyW on this forum. He owns Shamrock Cricket who make some great gear....no bats though.
