I'm so shocking I wouldn't know if it was a plank or not! I must admit, I've been very admiring of some of the bats on here, and I've looked at some of the sponsor's websites etc. and you can't help but be tempted. And after a while what you thought was a bit pricey starts to look reasonable. And you think to yourself, it costs about four times as much as the bat that I've got, but is it four times better? Well the answer to that is that it's probably more than four times better - but it's actually the wrong question. The question is, will I score four times as many runs with it? I know what the answer is in my case! :(

Best bet is to look out for people selling second hand on here mate.

I've picked up a few bats over the winter (far to many) and people sell them for far less than they are new, but hardly any usage.

It won't score 4 times as many runs, but you will feel like a better batsman and you may score twice as many runs. And besides, if you have a £50 bat from Sports Direct, that bat that costs 4x as much from any of the sponsors will have you feeling like KP!
