So, I netted lots during the winter to keep my eye in and develop more shots, strengthen my defence and improve shot selection.
I play better when I attack but know I can defend as we as any body in my team.
My Missis old man says to me, you've got to be positive.
Which in fairness is true.
I bat 3/4/5. That's a big difference in roles imo.
The openers like to give it a hit and they do it well. I never know whether to carry on where they left off or take a more defensive approach.
First game this year on a slow low Dorset wicket I nudged and nurdled 44 not out. I felt brilliant when I walked back in, though I didn't time many, the partnership we put on won us the game.
Tomorrow were playing at Dorchester. A good/ a lot better than most of the tracks we play on in a season, I can have some confidence in.
Do I:
A: play some shots or
B: keep it tight?
Help is greatly appreciated.
David.
