Can you save a 'deadened bat'
« on: May 28, 2012, 04:55:31 PM »

I have an old bat that was ruined by being over oiled and has now become a complete plank! Is there anything I can do to save it, or is that game over for this stick?

If your other choice is throwing it away, then you can try sanding the face more than normal till the white wood starts appearing.

unlikely, but you could try drying it out a bit?

That will work if you give it some time.
