Just wanted a general consensus of what leagues you play in and what are the league rules for a rained off / Cancelled / Abandoned match?

I play in the Romida North Wales ECB Premier League. The max we can get in any game including bonus points is 30 . . . . For a rained off match we receive 6 points which is 20% of max points available. However in the lower leagues 2 - 6 they play with max points of 10 and for a rained off max they receive 3 points i.e 30%. As a club we have tried for years to get average points for a rained off match without any success. So far this season we have lost 4 of the 8 games to rain!

ECB Northern League. 15 points for a maximum win, you get 4 points a piece for a rain draw.

Wetherby League - 6 points for a win - 2 for a called off - 30%

Max points 20 in our league. Rain results in split points, so we have 40 off six...

Bassetlaw League - 6 points for a rained off game.  Max points in a game are 20 -12 for the win,  with bonus points for runs and wickets (120, 140,160&  180 runs/3, 5,7 &  9 wickets.)

Wow 10 points for a win in MCCL and just 1 for a rained off match! Also no bonus points.

I dont know if anyone else finds the extent of the variety of points and rules amazing??

I mean would it not make sense to have all ECB Premier League, Div 1 etc etc the same throughout the affiliation?

Yes, it would be loads better if there was a bit more standardisation!

No, although that's what happens when a team drops out of the league - all points from those matches are null.

we get 2 for any game thats cancelled or 2 plus bonus points if a game is started but not finished. we also get 30 for a batting first win or a max of 25 for a win batting second.

in our sunday league you get 20 for a win plus 1 point per wicket. cancelled games are 10 points. we played and got a 30 point win when every other game in the league was abandoned. luck of the draw really.

I think the thames valley do something like that but everybody get's 7 points that weekend. Been a while but something like 75% of games had to be off for it to kick-in.

In the circumstances i remember, we booked a pitch which clashed with another fixture. We had to concede but the league then told us it was 7 points for an abandoned game. Might of been specifically with cry offs where teams pick up points for games they couldn't of played in the conditions anyway.

I know the Dales Council in Yorkshire have re-scheduled 2 saturdays of fixtures to Sundays later in the season.
