Here is a bat I've been working on for David (acko109), its a distinction profile made from a standard grade one cleft with a round handle. Its 2.9oz (2.8oz with a standard grip) with a really light pick up.

Just need to contact Max (coverpoint_pro) and hopefully meet up with him tomorrow to drop off.

Ryan this looks similar shape to the one I have that you made?

I'll do a proper write up on it but I used it for the first time this week after knocking in with a mallet no nets.


Anyway kept hitting the ball high up the bat, response was ok. I was going to change it until I played a straight drive ..... Bang straight out of the middle over the bowler over long off over the bush to the car still rising then finally came down the other side of the car park on the main road.... Big hit.

Followed up with a slightly smaller  straight 6 to get 50* off 26 balls.

Middle is superb, rest of it probably needs knocking in but it went some distance and it wasn't a big heave.

Looking forward to unleashing it next midweek match

biggest spine i could get with a standard cleft John. Simmys was made with an over sized on so bigger spine and more concaving.
