Using a bat with no stickers today. Anyone know if he's been dropped?

In a meaningless test against a poor bowling line-up, in test matches that mean something he has scored very few runs. Plus when he scored that century he didn't wave the bat around for the cameras, he put it down and got out his little note out. If he is too busy putting his petty disagreements ahead of promoting the brand then why should they pay him? Good on GN.

I agree, not a good brand ambassador, although England were slightly better than poor (but not much!).

I never get why they sponsor so many players. Surely a few key signings are better than giving bats away to half the johnny nobodies - Ramdin isn't going to sell bats like a Gayle or Pollard.

Without Anderson and Broad, England lack that cutting edge. How many international bowling line-ups would have allowed Tino Best to almost score a century? None. Neither Ramdin nor Best played fantastically, the problem was the bowling wasn't good enough to maintain pressure on them.

Maybe if they stopped giving their bats out to every pro around then they might stop charging ridiculous prices to us village cricketers who don't get given gear for free..

So what you're saying is that England have no quality new/existing talent coming through??? Interesting, as not long a go I remember reading how much depth the England squad had ;)

I think you will find what you were reading was gloating about the English bowling talent...!!
I still think Onions and Finn are geniune test class bowlers and that their inexperience was found out with some slightly defensive captincy early on and a batsmen who had decided it was their day...!

All hope in moderation I suggest.

As for GN dropping someone, I have no idea - but it would be nice to have cheaper equipment, but I doubt it will happen.

Finn is a very good bowler, I often wonder why Bresan is given a spot primarily compared to Finn

A wonderful bowler he is

Haven't seen much of Onions

Yes without Broad and Anderson are a the cutting edge. But I think that the usage of the word poor was a bit harsh, Bresnan bowled well, as did Onions and Finn.

Yep, if he has been dropped then fair enough, gets only his 2nd 100 in tests, and rather than show the makers name whom hes been with for many years to repay them for supporting him he decides to wave some paper round? Think I would be dropping him too!
