Feedback on Glove design needed pls!
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:30:02 PM »

Hi Guys

I've had these  glove samples made but i'm a bit unsure about how they came out. I'd appreciate any constructive feedback on these gloves. Does it catch your eye,  what would you take away, change or add anything?
Thanks for taking some time to have a look and i value all input.

Look very nice, like the colour scheme, but maybe a little bit more colour on the fingers as they're quite plain?

Thanks, I'm glad you like the colours. I also think that something is missing, I just can't put my finger on it! Would you add some tabs on the plain white segments?

Personally the rounder hinge looks cheaper and I think a more pointed 'tooth' hinge looks better. Without meaning to cause offence but the design looks cheap although you've used Pittard palms

No offense taken at all! I kinda got that same feeling. Looking at this glove you would not say that this is a top end glove with very high protection levels. Somehow it just gives that feel. I used the rounded hinge because I thought that the shark tooth hinge has been overdone. Thanks for the honest feedback.

its not because of the rounded hinges. could be due to the plain white and red on the fingers. also change the colour of the towelling, the grey doesn't look very appealing. but all in all a good design.

I like them and not sure about the shark tooth v round segments

I think the wristband should be red and the protection on the inside of the index finger on the bottom hand could be a colour rather than plain white?

I think the towelling should be a plain colour, too old fashioned at the mo I feel. And I would just stick to 2 colours, get rid of the silver on the right hand glove.

Owner, just starting off though and trying to do something different compared to other brands.

Thought about doing an all red wristband  and making the side protection red as well but thought that it would be a tad too much red.

Didn't ask for the silver on the finger, I actually wanted it plain red and it came out with these huge silver lumps on them. Very difficult to get exactly what you want done if you are not there to be able to supervise.

Thanks for the feedback thus far guys, keep it coming please.
I get the idea that the design might be a bit too plain and that the colours are just not working well as is. I think shark tooth does look better on plain gloves without any tabs on fingers.

im going through exactly the same process at the moment. im doing my best to design them, provide drawings and descriptions to try and make sure that what i want is what i get. Being new you need to stand out for the right reasons.  Just had a quick scan of the website. looks good!

Thanks, I'm glad you like the website and the stuff. It's tough when you are still starting out and dealing in small quantities to have new designs made instead of just opting for existing designs. Manufacturers are not keen to remake samples until you are satisfied.
I'm actually just trying to get my final designs done for the incoming SA season so I can get my goods on time! How's your stuff coming along?

All in the development stage at the moment. ill be sending the designs over to the supplier in the next week or so. im trying to be different but maintain the classic style pads etc. very difficult when you dont know what limitations are in place. hopefully what ive designed will work. I have a little bit of time as im planning on getting them ready for the end of the year so not too bad.

I don't think the rounded fingers are a problem, I much prefer them to sharktooth.

These are the same design as newbery sps so nothing wrong there, just the detailing that needs to be tweaked
