Hawk Cricket Bats
« on: June 26, 2012, 10:34:27 PM »

Can anyone tell me more about Hawk cricket bats? Most of them look stunning and i believe that they make bats for quite a few pros. This doesnt seem to be a popular brand on this forum and im wondering why?

There always seem to be many for sale and there are 3 on Ebay at the moment so im wondering are they as good as they are made out to be? The profiles dont seem rather big although the Xbow 2 looks really meaty and more of an Asian profile.

I have two what would you like to know? Have you viewed the Xbow 2 players edition on eBay by any chance ? I have had contact with the seller and well I asked to view it before I bid ( mind it is on for 5 days i was told he had no time for me to view )and this was declined so I have decided against it + 2lb 14 too. But they are very good bats in my opinion take a while to knock in but are well balanced, good sweet spot too.

Hawk bats are up there with the best handmade bats you can get. Extremely nice people and offer great service. Bats are class, used by many pros and have made bats for Bell, KP and James Taylor as far as I'm aware. X-Bow 2 players is large and has a higher middle, others standard mid-middle profile. 3 players at my club have them and they all fly and you see a lot around in Worcs & B'ham league. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Rate them highly, I've owned a few 2nd hand Hawks and they've been very nice. I would say that's the best way to go with their bats, let someone else knock them in as they do tend to take a bit longer to knock in, but once they are, they fly! Their softs are top notch too.

Friendly guys there as well, they have 2nds available in their workshop which I've picked up a few lovely net bats for £20odd.

They are very good bats, pressed nicely. They are plenty of them around in Worcester, BHam and West midlands league.

I guess you don't see a lot of them on here as they are fairly pricey and there are plenty of brands who put the effort into advertising etc on here, so I guess they aren't that popular on here due to those reasons?

you'll be hard pressed to find a better bat than a Hawk X10 Pro.

Whilst Hawk make some great bats there are man many other bat makers who make equally good bats or better bats in my opinion but each to there own but if you have settled on a Hawk i certinly wouldnt try and put you off thats for sure.
