Only ever used 1 grip when I was younger. Then many years ago I borrowed a mates bat that he had acquired from Neil Radford. It had 2 grips and the pick up was amazing. Scored 60 odd with it. Have used 2 grips ever since. Find 1 grip bats a bit weird now.

Usually two grips and always those GM shock absorber ones as it feels like an extra grip on the bottom hand, would recommend them.

what do others think of the gm shock absorber grips?

I've only started using them this season.  I find I get a more control of the handle in my grip.  However, I did find it a bit weird at first.  I think the diamond part of it could do with being a bit thicker though

I use 2 chevrons on my bats at the moment, might be needing a third on my mongoose though as it is still not thick enough. On my salix I have the Salix half 'n half grip underneath a chevron and it feels just right.

either a single grip or grip and then half at the bottom I like to feel like I have the whole of the bat grip in my hand.

i have a thin light halve grip underneath a thick but light grip, i always check because Indian grips are heavier although not always thicker if made in England they are normally lighter

some grips get made in england and some in india, ones made in india are noticeably heavier for example the kookabura grip.

I've had some pretty odd set ups over time - my absolute favourite is two thin grips followed by a very thick one with an additional half grip under the bottom hand, but over time I've sort of headed back to a straightforward three grip set up (I did once have six.  Cost a bloody fortune!)

yep - on an old style Powerbow.  Dunno why it got quite that many, but it worked like a dream....for a while at least...

That must have been an unbelievably big girth! lol.

I only use one shock absorber, unless it's a thin handle then I put a thin one underneath

On my old Kooka I used a hockey grip wrapped round the handle. Very good grip but too thin and almost impossible to put on with one grip underneath. Now I use a thick half spiral beneath an octopus grip
