They look great, wish I'd waited now before buying an ayrtek at the start of the season.

Is it possible to respray the standard matte finishes to look like this or do they have to be manufactured in this way?

They have to be manufactured in this way is the cheapest option, you can spray a tinted lacquer onto them but it would cost nearly the same as buying one from quotes we have had!

Well - my missus keeps telling me that she loves my shiny helmet, and this is even buffer and shinier than mine!  ;)

Not red...so am a little envious of the red one!
Bu the missus did say that she is happy with a shiny white, brown, black or pink helmet! But she is not 100% sure about a mix if colours although I think the mix looks great!!!
