Well, it won't stop me praying every night that we DO beat SA this summer and England next winter.

I just don't see it happening. :(

Wasn't it good to see the U19's win their semi final today? :)

Yes and a few promising players there too... Although it looks like the poms have a couple of good bowlers coming through as well after watching their game he other day.

I think the Captain Bosisto ran himself out just so he could get an average after never being dismissed in the tournament lol

Not onvinced that there is much in our Under 19s for anyone to fear this year - though oddly a couple of the best ones have been lft in the county game, which noone has been able to explain!

I find Mankading distasteful.

Others may disagree..

A warning not to do it again should be the way.

Agree totally.
I think Bell-Drummond failed to do himself justice.
Foakes is promising, as is Kapil.

Foakes can play.

Bell-Drummond had a terrible tournament, but he has some class. Just didn't adjust.

Who are Australia Quality bowlers??????

I can only think of 1 and he is injured and very inexperienced???

The Aussie's have big issue with both bat and bowl i follow shield cricket it not all rosy over there

Sorry, but you're way off with the bowlers. Pattinson is only 22 and has already taken 26 wickets in five tests. Proved himself to be fast, effective and has a ruthless mean streak. Has problems with injury, as lots of young quicks do, but he's been quality.

Jackson Bird lead the wicket taking charts with 53 wickets in his first Sheild season; Ben Cutting was on the cusp ot test selection before injury got him; Nathan Coulter-Nile is quick, improving and has potential and James Faulkner looks very good. These guys behind Harris, Siddle, Hilfenhaus (improved massively since last Ashes and got his pace back), Pattinson, Cummins, Starc and Lyon isn't bad. I'm not saying they're on a level with England's top line and next crop, but the bowling stocks are decent.

Batting, yeah... That's a different tale.

West Aussies love Coulter-Nile...bowling on the bouncy WACA probably makes him look better than he is. I am not a fan.

Pattinson, Cummings, Starc and Hazelwood are the four to watch. Cutting, Bird etc I need to see more of.

I have a feeling that Pattinson and Cummings will be particularly promising!
