I hope Luke Wright gets picked. He's been superb in the T20 - would prefer him opening to Hales.
He can bowl a bit too, as well as being a quality fielder

Rory HB would have been in the squad if he wasn't on compassionate leave, Batty is a bit of a surprise due to how old he is however he has done well for Surrey and can bat abit.

Surprised Napier isn't in the team, a handy bowler plus he certainly knows how the give the ball a good wack.

EDIT: Luke Wright is also a very good shout, he has adapted since he was last called up for England and is a far better player.

Maybe not but weight of runs should be a factor.

Lets pick David Sales then.

Seriously, Moore doesn;t have THAT weight of runs behind him!

Ah David Sales. Such an unfortunate knee injury playing for England A at a time when he looked set to make the step up. Should be sponsored by Greggs now tho...

I agree on the Root reasoning, on reflection.

I'd have Keith Barker in that list as a left arm option. And Rikki Clarke too.

Nice to see Crofty in there as I've played against him a fair bit... Can't see him making the final cut though as not sure he's good enough.

Think Kerrigan's better than Parry or Briggs, though he took a fair spanking off KP the other week

Probably why he's been left out!

More likely his lack of batting and fielding ability

Blimey...how many reserve keepers do we need?
I assume that Kieswetter will be the first choice? Then there is Davies, Prior, Bairstow and Buttler who are all more than capable of taking the gloves! I guess they are all capable purely as batsmen too though!  8)
Looks a pretty strong squad to be fair. Final 15 anyone?

Out of that lot, I would say Davies is the best pure keeper, but then that might just be my Surrey bias.  Prior has worked hard on his keeping, but he's not a natural keeper, nor are any of the others from what I have seen
