A guy pulled out one of these yesterday at nets. Said his girlfriends dad gave it to him, and that he used to play in the 70's.
The bat had a really nice pick up and feel to it. I would say approx 2lb 8oz. The thing still pinged!!
Dont know what it is...could it be the first ever blank bat?? 
 Small sticker at the back stated it was made in huntingdon

Could it be Bernie Facer made bat?

Think he may have been based in Huntingdon.

Also thnk brands may have been baronet + double B(not sure if double baronet)

Yep, looks like a Double B from Bernie.

Bernie was at County (who were and are in the Huntingdon area), before starting his own brand.

It's a Bernie Facer bat.

Bernie worked for County Sports before they went bust and re-emerged as Hunts County Bats. He started his own business and later worked for Hawk Bats.

Wow guys, the depth of knowledge on here is amazing. Here's a tester for you (guys of a certain age that is!) - any of you used a Quaife and Lilley bat back in the day?
