GN Legend Pads - Wonky
« on: August 07, 2012, 10:02:49 PM »

Bought some new pads, GN Legend.

The top hat seems to be wonky, i.e. standing at crease in batting stance, shins facing where point would field, the top hat on each pad face closer where cover would be.

Is this by design? or a fault.

Ive looked at Ali Cooks pads and they same to be the same - just seems a bit odd really.

Can someone shed some light?

That's fine mate, they are amazing pads really! Can't praise them high!

I have soaked them in water, washed them with water and what not! Lol

I'd say that's how they're meant to be, i.e. offering protection to just above the knee and up by wrapping around slightly. If that part of the pad pointed directly to point too, you wouldn't be getting as much protection to that part of the leg. By wrapping around it's providing a bigger surface area of protection.

the truth is i think there slighly out i got a pair and they reminded me of the old rns euro pad with the top hat sat slightly behind the top knee roll and i found them slightly uneven but there all like this including Cooks so guess there made like this

Can't say I've noticed this about my team mate's legends. I'll take a closer look next time I see him
