to be fair to bairstow, he knew he was going to get peppered by Morkel especially, so you can't blame him.

I would have worn one too in his position.

Better to wear a chest guard and feel confident against the short ball than not wear one and feel scared.  :)

Crack a rib and its all over for quite a few months. No shame in wearing a chest guard, im surprised more dont at the highest level

I don't see the difference compared to a thigh pad really? If I was facing 90MpH bumpers I would wear one!
