Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but I haven't been on in a bit and so...

With a meeting between Strauss and KP to happen shortly after the end of this test match, and more stuff possibly still to come out about the 'provovative/derogatory text messages to KP's 'close  friends' in the SA team, has poor old Kevin gone too far this time? Will he come clean, and will he be forgiven? Some of the stuff I have been hearing, about KP suggesting to the South Africans to bowl round the wicket to Strauss- wow. And calling him a doos- the ultimate Africans insult!Wow. Talk about a serious misjudgement- great piece by Brearley in one of the sunday spreads about KP making some pretty average decisions and being his own worst enemy/destructive etc. Personally, i'd like to see him play again, and I don't believe for a minute that it is ALL his own making.

I suspect not - Broad has, after all, stepped over the line so often that it is no longer surprising, yet still seems to be treated with reverence.

Was he out of order?  Yes.

Should Strauss have been the bigger man and nipped it in the bud?  Also yes.

Do they all look a bit like kids in the playground?  I'll leave it for you to decide...

really?  I agree he can be a pompous git sometimes, or at least come across that way, but I don't think he is in any way the only one, and I can see why he might feel that he could be better supported by management!

One out of three, perhaps - he was by all accounts a bit of a twerp when he alienated himself at Notts.  But at Hampshire?  I don't think he was in the wrong really, it just wasn't working, and he was right about Moores, even if he over judged his own value as skipper!

I would like to say no KP isn't finished as I think England do need KP but I think there are too many egos involved on both sides of the table.

Who was the Notts captain at the time, although it's fair to say that he wasn't the only one looking to get KP out of Notts as soon as possible!
