think strauss and england will forgive kp using a word which could be pretty bad, might be pretty harmless but if true he actually texted stein/morkel/kallis and donald, yes donald the best way to get strauss out(round the wicket-it worked) i cant see how he can come back.kp is a fabulous player but has fallen out with most along thw way,he had a point about moores but remember he wanted flower out too-the best manager we have had in cricket.
the only sympathy i have, just a bit,is i think there is truth england have become a bit cliquey in the dressing room.broad/swann/anderson all very good mates.by all accounts all kp talks about is money not england.
jason gallian also smashed his bat into a million pces, notts wanted him out big time

If I was choosing, yes he would be. He may be arguably the best England batsmen, but that doesn't hide the fact of what he did.

The text, as far as I understand (as reported by the DM, who bought the original story), told them to nick Strauss off.

Which, and I'm not defending KP here, I'm bored with guy now, is exactly the same as saying, 'get him out caught' which kind of requires Strauss's help! So, as usual, the press are embellishing everything in order to sell a few more copies. KP has done himself enough damage already, he doesn't really need the tabloids doing it for him.....

If he ever plays for England again he should be forced to go on a Lions tour first.....let's see how much he really wants it shall we!

Looking at the whole situation im not convinced we will see KP in an England team again, if Strauss and Flower continue i don't believe they will be willing to forgive especially Strauss.

I'm pretty sure the Yarpies will have worked thisout for themselves long before KP stepping in to offer his "wisdom".  Its like Strauss tweeting county skippers of the need to bring on any old non-turning left arm spinner when KP walks out to bat....

Reading the papers, it is pretty apparent that the issues with KP have stemmed from when he returned from the IPL - remember his team did rather well, and he could have taken his team all the way. I think he has been pressuring the Andrew's and England management the whole Summer - this triggered the initial "retirement" and then the subsequent fiasco.

I am increasingly uncertain that we will see KP in an England shirt for the next 6 months, but he may well return next year.
As for bowling to Strauss and Cook, round the wicket over off stump - it worked for the Aussies in 2006/7 in the forgotten tour, it worked for the Pakistan team in the spot fixing tour, the fact that other teams haven't used the method in between times is their poor planning. As mentioned, KP said nothing new - but the point is that he shouldn't have said anything.

money, greed and fame - never ideal for fostering team spirit...

Envy is best defined as a resentful emotion that "occurs when a person lacks another's (perceived) superior quality, achievement or possession and wishes that the other lacked it."

well that pretty much sums the whole fiasco up... for all parties involved.

Even if KP does return, I think it will hurt the team more than improve it.  Yes, we may get a few more runs in the middle order from one particular batsman, but I struggle to see how this whole fiasco will simply be forgiven and forgotten by all concerned, and I therefore feel it will be difficult for anyone to bat with him.  I, for one, would hate batting with someone who I don't like or trust.  It would affect my concentration.  I don't think the running between the wickets would be especially crisp either.  There's bad blood here, and batting with KP will surely be tough for every England batsman.  Let's face it, it was hard enough before all this, but if he had any friends left in the team, they've certainly all gone now...
