It's that time of year for that statement that always turns out false.

Don't need pads or gloves.

Have 2 new bats on the way, though hoping to se at least one of those on, if not both.

Might be tempted to get some spikes as the Puma Calibres I had this year were poor.

Might also need a baseball mitt, glove and cleats

I'll let you know once the 2013 season is over!

I'm planning to sell all of my gear after next week end. Literally just hanging onto my Masuri Ti which is only a few weeks old.

Will have a look at all the 2013 gear once its out and see what I like from that. I will be buying a bat, gloves, pads and some spikes which I may get in the sales

Ha ha, I think my list will obviously look very modest by comparison.  ;)

Bats: Salix Pod Performance 2 lb 7 oz needs to be 'netted in' during the close season.

Pro Grade 2 lb 6 oz currently in use and less than a season old so should be plenty of runs left in it (especially as bugger all have come out of it!).

Pads: Uzi Green Mamba.

Gloves: AS Sniper

Spikes: Surridge

Same old whites

Potential close season purchase - perhaps a helmet at some point.

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

Hi mate, I know this is for next season so I assume you're very likely to wait, but if you want to take advantage of an End of Season sale price, this might interest you: http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-batting-pads-c7/senior-batting-pads-c23/millichamp-hall-distinction-batting-pads-p403
