I'm surprised you manage to have the same kit week to week Tom, if I was in your position I'd probably try out a new lid design every weekend!

Bit of a bus mans holiday mate when u see them day in day out and I'd have to do the work myself!  :o

Looking forward to the season though as got a couple of new wands to try out :)

I normally take an annual trip down to there, only an hour for me.

Not necessarily the highest quality bats but I trust Richard, the bat maker, and he makes the best balanced bat I've ever used! Especially, a guy like me shouldn't be using £400 custom made bats since I usually break 2 or 3 a year due to playing 4/5 times a week.

He always has the horses on when I'm down there!
Great bloke, never seen someone balance a bat as nicely as him.

I always go down there and grab a 2lb 11oz bat that picks up as light as my 2lb 7oz Adidas Elite.
Awesome stuff and so cheap. Last one he gave me at £100!

Yer they offer good deals to customers they know and trust.

Like you said not always the greatest wood or the best lookers but they certainly fly

100% agree on that.
Went down there looking for a top piece of wood and he soon convinced me to not worry about all that, and I, to be honest, believe him. Some of the top end bats only look cosmetically better than some of his at times. Not sure how well that opinion would go down on this forum though..
