Aha, not had a bat and no bowling from him so far, wouldn't say a specialist fielder from what I've seen in this match.

Have played against Tom Bailey and Mark Walling at Northern as they both graduated from my league

Played for Wim last year - the only year out of the last 3 that they didn't make this final! Maybe the common dominator! Johnno is a nice guy, does give it a bash but is batting pretty low for a batsman...

I don't know either of them that well, but got the impression it was to play better cricket.

They're both only very young and by no means had big enough reputations to be offered coin when they left.

Yes, that and I went to school in Crosby!

I went to school in Crosby too.  Steve Lucas is one of my successors opening the batting for Merchant Taylors 1st XI, though obviously quite a bit better than me!
