I think the scheduling of the tournament in the middle of monsoon season is the bigger farce. Only two matches have been affected by heavy rain, but forecasts for the next couple of weeks are looking very, very bleak.

Conceivably, this could be the first international tournament decided in a 5 over a side bash...

Would love to see Russell play today, apparently he's losing his place to bravo as all rounder, why is he always sidelined? He's a quality one day batsman in my opinion and deserves more chances. I think Sammy should go to be honest Russell has the potential to bat up the order rather than being relegated to no9 helps that he can bowl 1 or 2 overs if needed too.

Anyway if England are to beat Windies today they NEED Gayle out before the 15th because if he bats all 20....well I don't think It's even worth asking about even with Windies dodgy bowling attack

Who decided on the format for the Super 8? Why are the four unbeaten teams grouped together and the four group runners up together? Two teams who didn't perform in the group stage will get rewarded with a semi final over two teams who topped their group. Seems very, very odd to me - rewarding mediocrity in a way.

Hats off to Windies but for me Broads captaincy cost us that game. Only 2 spinners weren't enough on that track, windies bowled 15 overs of spin out of their 20. Eng bowled 7, bowling Patel to Gayle was talked about by two captains (Colly and Tres) before the game as something they should not do as he'll get smashed, But he did it. And Morgan batted far too low, cant blame Bairstow he's a finisher not a no.4. Broad will inevitably slip under the radar as he had 2/26 and bowled relatively well but shocking captaincy at this level.

Morgan at 5 is criminal, as is Kieswetter still being in the team, 53 runs in last 5 matches is terrible when you need a really strong start. I'd give gloves to Bairstow/Buttler and bring Lumb in for Kieswetter, and Briggs in for Patel, maybe even Briggs in for Finn/Dernbach if we want to play 3 spinners

I think kiesey is getting stick over little realy. Couple of unlucky dismissals And didn't connect with a rank short ball today.Should have been out away.  He did smash a quick 30 odd against india when no one else hit it off the square. We are losing early wickets but were also chasing too many. Prob 20 too many tonight atleast. Patel shouldn't be anywhere near an England shirt. He doesn't offer anything at this level. Broads captaincy was odd putting him up against probably the best hitter of good bowling let alone the (No Swearing Please) Patel throws down. I would say drop Patel, bring in Briggs and give broad captaincy for dummies book and we will be ok.

And kieswetter seems to get a lot of hate, I personally think he's quite good, maybe I'm just going crazy or have been swept away by youthful ignorance ;)

I suspect were not quite as good as we thought we are

Patel is in for some harsh criticism i would open with Patel and drop Bedwetter bring in Briggs who does turn the ball.

Not convinced we have the know how without kp to go far in this tournament

Oh and Chris Woakes would be in my side before Bresnan and Broad.

Swanny the 3rd protagonist  is not fairing much better either
