Derbys and Yorks promoted
« on: September 13, 2012, 09:58:04 PM »

Congratulations to Derbyshire and Yorkshire on getting promoted to division 1 of the county championship.
best 2 sides all year in div 2

cant see derby staying up unless they bolster they're squad but its nice to see my county in the 1st division for the first time in 12 years, cant remember the last time :(

good luck to karl krikken and his relatively young squad and also to jason gillespie and his yorkshire side!!

Derbyshire take title as the beat hampshire by 6 wickets, won by virtue of winning more games as yorkshire, both sides ended on 194 points

Yorkshire really deserved thi - unbeaten all season, not bettered all season, constantly robbed by the rain etc, it would have been a travesty if they did not go up.

Can't wait for next season, that's easy wins guaranteed for the mighty Warwickshire next season on their charge towards back to back titles!  ;) Congratulations to Derbyshire and Yorkshire, welcome back to the big boy league!
