It's a great feeling when something clicks. That extra confidence and enjoyment should see you right.

Good stuff Dave.

Little update

Best bat I have used and hard to use anything else really really Impressed I know my form is half decent so it is combined with the decent bat.
Just looked at there softs I think I want matching kit so it goodbye to all my sareen kit including bats so look out for a sale very soon.

The bat is in the top drawer I have ever used no doubt about that very happy with my twisted machine and hand finished infusion.

Dave, hold off selling the ss kit for two reasons, firstly wait for the next generation sorts from b3 which will be a load better knowing Russell and secondly you have just found you dream sorts, you would be nuts to flog them.

Bore alert...

Sorry if I bore you today but used this after my other is in for it yearly refurbishment

Have only used this a few times but today I found out I don't like scuff sheets anymore used this today and the sound was immense and the rebound possibly better than the trott lovely helped me on my way to 65* fist ball flicked through mid wicket even the batmaker Easby was purring.

Sorry to bore you if you think Im advertising think that just though I give a update a year almost to the day since it arrived a great bat

I'm 99.9% certain scuff sheets dampen the rebound of a bat.

Took the scuff of a B&S and an MH and both went from good to amazing

You do have to keep sanding them and oiling. my bats usually last 2000 runs doing this

What does oil actually do to a cricket bat?

Well millichamp cut a bat up it makes the face harder and keeps it more supple I guess no reason why I shouldn't use it

What does oil actually do to a cricket bat?

All it is meant to do is seal in the moisture, some people say it takes away the responsiveness, but I feel it doesn't really, although I haven't really used an unoiled or unscuffed bat in a while! Normally, if I don't use a scuff sheet, I'll sand the bat down every so often and almost clean the the face with a little bit of oil. No need to use very much, but I try not to let the wood get too dry.

I use briwax or beeswax normally to clean and polish by the natural face is a new thing for about 10 years for me and the bat felt good.

I get pictures up of the face it has cracked and marked but it did feel much much better

I'm surprised you haven't kicked your good lady out of the bed and put your b3 bats next to you

Didn't everyone on here do that a long time ago  :D?

I personally like to use a scuff sheet and replace it every season. I hate to see the face of my bat lightly cracked or dented :(.
