Countdown to the Lords tradeshow...
« on: September 16, 2012, 07:29:36 PM »

Right then, the trade show starts at 10 tomorrow morning.

there are big numbers of CBF forum members going (boo for work getting in the way of me going!)

last year the big winner was Chase. by a distance.

the big losers were boomboom.

the others especially Salix and Bradbury had cracking stands...

so what are people expecting tomorrow?

here are my predictions:

1. something special from Ayrtek
2. lots of flat faced bats.
3. funky 2020 shapes.
4. more of the same from willowstix and bradbury.
5. salix and Chase to have the best softs.
6. biggest frustration from County
7. brilliant coverage from at least 2 cricket forums!

but who will be the surprise package?

Willostix won't be there, and I disagree about boomboom last year, but otherwise sound predictions for me.

About boomboom - I tend to agree with buzz!
They were very ordinary and bats were boring.
I suspect they were not well organised but possibly better show from them this year if they're there?

Will do - those attending, watching from home or want to find something out. Let's use the hashtag #lordstradeshow on Twitter and I'm sure either CBF, CI or one of the many attendees will be glad to answer

Green thing was a sample helmet, to show off what they can do. Tom asked the sprayer to 'go wild' and that's the result.

Our live blog may be better if you want to view historical stuff along with a few comments from retailers, players and the like.

Yes, I've been watching it, and it's been a bit of an anti-climax for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing what our sponsors have lined up for next year. The H4L Tempo is easily one of the most exciting, and I can't wait to see what SAF and L&W have...

& Sabre looks quite possibly the worst collection of cricket equipment ever.
