Bairstow given wright the strike?
« on: September 21, 2012, 04:53:42 PM »

Should johnny Bairstow have given the strike to Luke wright to get his 100? I think so... I wonder if it was discussed out in the middle?

Team>Individual, getting as high a total as possible is more important than one man's ton. There's no room for sentimentality in the era of professionalism, I think Bairstow was right to hit boundaries

I agree, he should hit those boundaries - he's got to get in touch as well, Wright had plenty of time in the middle - it could come where Bairstow needs to score some runs so this will be valuable too

I thought it was pretty selfish of Wright hitting all those runs and gobbling all that time at the crease! Should have retired at 50 like a good sport and given the others a go  ;)
