Winter Training 2012/13
« on: September 23, 2012, 09:01:57 PM »

With the season all but finished it would be interesting to know who starts netting when. Anybody net this side of xmas or doing anything special for 2013?

My clubs indoors officially start in mid-January but I hear some/most lads start it sooner.

I'm new to this club so I'm not completely aware of there process :(

Club nets are usually arranged from about mid-late february inddors,  but I may pay for a couple of coaching sessions up the oval/down in guildford, as I found these helped massively when I had them a couple of years ago.

I may also go down with a couple of others and hire out the bowling machine too.

If you do the Guildford one then give me a shout, I am always up for some practice.

Likewise,

I'm moving near wimbledon at the start of next month, so will be looking to get some nets in whenever - I've got a few sample shapes to test out too if anyone's interested.

Will do. I'm sort of in the middle of the oval and guildford really.  It's just as easy for me to get to both, although I'd lug all my kit up the oval on the tube!

I may make a rugby playing comeback, although most likely just for fitness and training purposes, as I'm not sure my dodgy knees and ankles could handle a full match!
