Club sponsorship
« on: September 25, 2012, 07:09:32 PM »

We are looking for a main sponsor. Do the sponsor just pay for the shirts with their name on or do they give the club a lump sum and players have to buy their own individual shirts with the sponsor on?

I think it can be negotiated as we're also looking for someone to sponsor our club where they pay x amount for the kit, we pay some then they have their names on the shirt making it cheaper for us and exposure for them.

From my experience, I think it's completely negotiable. Think the general thing is a lump sum is given, it's up to the club what that's used for, at my club the shirts were subsidised with sponsorship money so we only had to pay £10 for really nice shirts, for example. They could choose to not put the money towards shirts at all, and make the players buy them full price, but I doubt  that's common

We've decided to only focus on the local clubs in and around London.  Where are you guys based?
