Unusable is what it is! One of those bats which you own so you can show it off and make people jealous. I sense wrist injuries...

It is 3 piece laminate that is what that is

Opps... Just watching... it

Sorry but.... a Slower bat speed the force required to move the bat on pickup and swing will in no way be compensated by the swing speed base on the weight and profile of that bat  :o

OK it's big, but seriously you'd need more money than sense to buy that, plus you'd need to be The Hulk to wield it!

Quite surprised he mentioned about this bat being able to give you more time to play your shots...

On the website it says its a kashmir training aid designed to give you more time/higher bat speed when you use a regular bat.

Would be tricky to maintain proper technique at around 5lbs...

it's a strength training aid and might useful for building shot specific muscles. Possibly leading to better bat speed. Collingwood had a 4lb bat, an example was at the Lords show. I'm sure we can source 3 kashmir planks and some PVA glue for a bit less than 179 dollars. Might another job for Ryan  :D

The one issue I have with these bats is the step up in weight. You don't go to the gym and bench press 100kg when you've spent your life benching 50kg. You build in increments and train the muscle. I had a 3'b 2oz bat for a while and the day after a game my shoulder felt like it would be falling off. I'd get all kinds of pull muscles etc, etc. Short nets might be ok or shadow batting but certainly wouldn't use it for very long.
