CBF Midweek Game
« on: November 06, 2012, 07:56:01 AM »

I have been asked to ask on here for a couple of teams for my local village clubs cricket week . The dates are 15th and 16th aug all day games ,lunch, tea , lite meal after , the club is stone in  in Kent  between tenterden and rye . Lovely picturesque ground and a good local pub after ! (and my workshop is 5 mins from the ground  :D) so if your club is interested in playing on the days mentioned please pm me and I will pass on your details

as Buzz will no doubt tell you, we need people who are committed. The last CBF was a struggle as many people dropped out who said they would play and it was only saved by myself and Simdog doing a 450 mile round trip (in our eyes :-). It will require members to book time off work unless you are student. The date of the game would be Thursday 15th August

I'm trying not to put anybody off but please only say yes if you honestly believe you can manage it. I'll collect names and see where we go:-

I can pretty much get time whenever I want, so it shouldn't be a problem for me!

I have family to visit in Kent so count me in 100% it's not that far for me anyway so I can make sure I'm available!

if you can tell me what you do - bat/bowl/quick/slow etc and the level you play at. That would be helpful.

RH top order slogger.  Occasional offspin/slow-medium induckers.  Fielding... Less said about that the better!

Usually bat 3-4, mid level TVCL (D3 until I stepped down to skipper the twos), can't bowl anymore, specialist slip.  :D

Bat tail end with a medium pace bowling! Put me down to play if you end up short as wouldn't want to take a very talented players spot
