cheers for whoever gave me the tip about 2 grips. Not my preferred setup but it does help the pickup. Feels about 2oz lighter. Had 2 grips before on other bats and doesn't normally make that much difference but seems to this time. Going to have to find an orange chevron double thickness grip now!

Going to nets tomorrow night with the tempo. Update tomorrow evening!

Just go for a g2 in that case, exceptionally good value in my opinion

Since when was that a criteria for not buying a bat, have you seen half of us bat on this forum?

Yes Nicholas - I agree!!  Talent is not a bedfellow with careful kit buying!

Buy what you want if it makes you feel good!

I didn't really word it as well as I could do. I mean I only play about 4/5 games a season atm. And I can't warrant spending £200 on a bat for the time being, due to the limited number of games I play. :(

Hey Matt, you need to move near Chertsey, Surrey - I'll give you all the games you can handle!

And that goes for the rest of you!

True dat! What sort of commission do you get on each sale of a Tempo bat? Lol ;) Stop tempting me!!!!!!

And Fattus, I'd love to but if I can't be bothered to move to a club down the road to be, what are the chances of me moving the length of the country? Lol

I think the bat sells itself  :), but I wish I was on commission. Reckon I could sell loads of Tempo's!

Well, when I start my new job in a few weeks, Matt may be finding an order being placed...

Tried the Tempo tonight. Well, when I say tried it was in the context of a poorly lit hall with 80% of deliveries wide down leg or into the side netting. The guys I netted with are friendly team and with the odd exception aren't very good. Anyway, those I could see/reach/hit flew off the middle. I've not hit the ball that hard in a while. Just a shame it totalled about 4 shots, the rest I could reach were poked around with no real force. I might have a net at Headingley Weds and one at Warwick School Sunday to do a proper assessment. On the bright side Paul Smith (ex-warwicks) coached us and was very impressed with my bat collection  :)

What was Smith like as a coach Nick?  His book is a great read, you get the feeling from it that he is still bitter towards the ECB about the lack of support he got after his drug ban
