Who's getting a Cadbury for Christmas?
« on: November 12, 2012, 11:30:01 AM »

No I'm not talking about an advent calendar or selection box. I'm talking about that easy on the eye piece of English willow with possibly the best stickers ever made placed perfectly on it. I'm pretty sure I will be but not too sure what model to get. Is it really worth paying out an extra 50-100 quid for a players or sps or will a 5 star suffice?

Hi mate, i posted pictures of my 5Star Cadbury the other day under this section of the forum and must say it is lovely, other people have commented on how nice it is for a 5star, 9 straight grains with a few butterfly stains but notjing major and the performance from tapping up a new and old ball is excellent. Most quality cricket specialists will order you one direct from newbery and you can specify to a degree what you are after. I used Beckenham cricket specialist but im sure ItsJustCricket will offer you the same service and they are a forum sponsor so in my opinion a 5star is a great bat in both apperance and performance

This topic could get interesting lol

I
Must admit I love the Cadbury stickers, but they aren't worth £100+

The Newbery Cadbury is £149.99 with hammer edge tape, Can you get either of the mentioned bats for cheaper?? I have heard excellent things about the BB's since being on the forum but have never seen one play yet.  Woodstock though i thought was a lot more expensice then the newbery 5star and i have to be honest having seen 2 last year didn't seem that great although i wouldn't let 2 viewings of the same player with the same bat make up my mind totally on a brand
