Salix Torque?
« on: November 15, 2012, 06:23:47 PM »

Has anyone got their hands on a Salix Torque or seen it in the flesh - is it a relation of the Falx or a new shape?

I saw them when I was getting the AJK made. It is the replacement of the flax I think. Don't know a huge amount about it but it has flat face mid swell and 40mm edges looked very good with new marble effect stickers.

I'm tempted to get my praestantia restickered (if they'll do it) as the new ones look amazing.....my kahuna will be staying the same though.....

As they still have the praestantia model running I think they may only sticker it as what it is but worth a email to them. Or just buy a Torque as well :D

I was actually thinking of getting the new praestantia stickers AND buying a Torque - it is a little daft given that I'm selling my Falx - although I am justifying it to myself with the rational that I only bat with 2.8s now and she's a 2.9.....#clutchingatstrawstojustifyittothewife

I've seen the Torque a couple of times now, and a couple of the grade 1 bats we hand-picked from Butler's Farm on Monday were Torques.  Their stickers are a little on the loud side, but they are huge bats, with a convex profile and flatter face.  Incredibly meaty and I have no doubt that they'll be absolute guns! Can't wait until we get them in Feb!
