A pair of beauties...
« on: November 17, 2012, 11:22:57 PM »

A Salix Falx Performance from the PDC sale, and a Puma Ballistic 6000 from Aswani via ebay. First time posting pics, hope they come out OK....

Both come out at just under 2.9 on my scales. Very light pickup on both, early mallet tests have shown that the Salix is flying straight out of the box, the Puma is very good but might need a bit more time to open up. Don't know whether it's because I know that it has the carbon handle, but there is a different 'feel' to the Puma when the mallet is rebounding. Roll on winter nets.... :D

Cheers for the offer wilkie, I think it was because Picasa uploaded them to Google + so they had an https URL. Will have another crack but might take you up if no joy.

Your Salix looks very very similiar to mine from PDC. I will have to admit they have really done well IMO on both your bat and mine. I will have to try and get some pics of mine up asap but i am not very good with the photobucket lark lol.

Lovely looking bats mate.

Falx has a mid/low middle

Mid-low I would say, not that much higher than the Puma even though they are quite different shapes. The middle on the Salix does seem pretty long though. Surprised at the concaving on the Falx, thought it was meant to have none.

Yep, very pleased with them both.  :D

The Salix in particular is beautifully finished, with real attention to detail - stickers perfectly straight, grip perfectly aligned to the top of the handle, etc.

Also bought the falx. Ordered a light and it must weigh around 2.6 at the most. Agree with the concaving bit but never mind. With it being so light I'm a bit worried it will be fragile lol.
