Recently bought a new TK Lam from a forum member.

What started off as a little be of curiosity turned into really wanting to know if these are worth the hype.

The bat I've bought is 2lb 13oz. I'm used to about 2lb 10, 11 so a tad heavy for me.

What I'd like to know is:
1) should this bat be knocked in/ prepared the same way as regular bats?
2) can I leave it in an airing cupboard (for a short while) in the hope that I can loose the odd oz? (or has anyone had weight reduced on a TK lam?)

I'd say that you should prepair it in the same way as a "regular" bat and that sticking it in the airing cupboard really isn't the best way to get the weight down. It may work in the short term but will soon take up the moisture lost. Best thing to do is have some weight removed.

May i as why buy a bat that you know is 2 or 30z heavier that what you normally use?

It was advertised at 11/12oz and I'd hoped it would be 11. But turned out to be 13... 

Probably should have held out for a lighter weight but no going back now... Typical

You still have to knock it in, but only a quarter of the knocking in time as the face is very shallow.

It then should go like a gun.
