Custom Wicket Keeping Pads
« on: November 23, 2012, 12:55:13 PM »

I've been looking at a post for quite a while that someone managed to pick up some custom made keeping pads in plain white and they looked awesome!
A guy named Tom sorted him and out and I messaged him ages ago and had no reply.
Does anybody know where or how I could get my hands on a pair of top quality keeping pads custom made?

Cheers

Doesn't have to be that way, normally will be if they are custom made.
But what I mean is to my exact dimensions, I want them to be as good fit as my gloves which are made by Geoff Wymer.
Had them for a while and they are beauts.

i think u will strugle to get some custom design pads most companys want @ least 12 pairs of everything for them to make them unless u want to pay £200 for a pair of pads

Think the keeping pads your thinking about are a blank sample pair that Tom from TLB sold. They wasn't custom sized as fair as I remember.

Oh right!
I might have confused the two things!
I guess gloves are the only customs things made for keeping.
What's TLB?

you have little to no chance of doing this without ordering a fair few pairs or paying over the odds for them. only suppliers in indian or pakistan would be a possibility. even if you do manage to find a supplier who will make them to your size they will take an age to do it and you will certainly pay a decent amount. unfortunately nobody in the uk makes pads. i know a brand who were looking at a uk base for their soft goods and you were looking in the region of £180-£200 per pair which isnt worth it.  best advice is save your money and use it to find a currently available set that suit you.

I guess I'll have to go round the local retailers, trying on pads.
Anyway, thanks a lot to everyone on this thread who helped out.

The ones I sorted a few years back I got made whilst hanging around a factory for a few months in India, unlikely I'll be able to get anymore at that kind of price. Sorry.

Can anybody give me the details of a decent factory that could probably make these pads please?
I might get 3 or 4 pairs (can never get enough kit aha) then probably sell a few on if there is a minimum order.
Would love a PM
Thanks

Have a look on alibaba.com, I imagine that's what everyone else does.
