My new BlankBat equipment
« on: November 26, 2012, 05:40:36 PM »

Hi everyone, thought I'd just stick a quick post up on the new equipment I recently purchased from blank bats.
a 4 year lay off from playing cricket due to having children and working an extreme amount of overtime during the weekends I decided about a month ago I would again start playing in the 2013 season as my children are a little older and the overtime has slowed down. After finding out all my old equipment had been sitting under a big leak in my parents shed for the last 4 years it was time to start looking for some new gear, I started searching the Internet and could not believe how much prices had risen since the last time I was buying this sort of stuff, I spoke about this to a friend and he suggested I look on here as you can get some real top quality stuff at a much better price, so after having a browse around at all the different company's and reading some reviews I found my self always coming back to Blank Bats as I was very impressed with what I read and saw about this company. After contacting the company and speaking to mike he kindly arranged to meet me with a selection of bats for me to have a look at, after having a chat and being very impressed with what I saw I chose a bat which immediately caught my eye, it has a lovely pick up and is in my opinion very big for its weight (which is 2.10) my last bat was around 3 pound but not as I remember as big as this. While we was there I also had a look at the new pads and gloves mike had just got hold of, again I was very impressed, I always preferred the traditional look so I snapped up a pair of gloves and pads while I was there. In the past I had always been guilty of buying top of the range equipment regardless of price but since starting a family this was probably not practical anymore with the prices the big company's were asking however the stuff I have purchased from blank bats definatly seems even though its not yet been used in match condition as good if not better than anything I have had in the past and at a lot less price. I am currently knocking the bat in and it feels amazing to say the least. Before I finish up I would just like to say how much of a pleasure it was dealing with the people behind BlankBats and I was very impressed with there customer service and there passion for there brand, I will definatly recommend them in the future and I hope for a successful comeback using there equipment. I hope the pics I post come out but as this is my first post on here I'm sorry if they don't.

Welcome to forum, I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I have dealt with them and they are absolutely fantastic guys to deal with. Wonderful chaps and wonderful products at a good price.

If I may ask, how are the pads and gloves? Really like the look of them...

Thanks for your warm welcome guys
Pads and gloves both are very good quality to me, both seem to have extremely good protection, the pads are extremely light although I'm not sure of the exact weight. Again I've been out the game for a while but the last set of pads and gloves I bought were top end GM and although that was some time ago in my opinion these bb's are better at a lot less cost. As I said in my first post I would certainly recommend them and next year can't come quick enough so I can use them
