Seems like a sensible move.

Also should mean that Flower is prepared to keep going a little bit longer in the Test arena which is really good news in itself.

Never been much of a fan of Ashley Giles as an administrator/coach but if this means that Andy Flower is prepared to sign a new contract to look after the Test side then it's a good move.

Succession plans are a good thing. Has worked on the playing side with Strauss to Cook.

Warwickshire are a shining example of a well-run club, and many of Giles's picks have shown great intuition and man-management: i.e. Clarke (there's a fair ego there), Wright and Chopra(both inconsitent/flaky before their moves. Good skill to have if you're trying to mould an international side.

Lets be honest what he achieved as a player was down to a lot of hard work and a tough mindset. He made the most of the talent he was given and was instrumental in getting over the line in the ashes 05. Should be a great example of not settling for average results.

Pietersen in the O.D.I squad but not T20.
Don't think Swann is in either squad.

I wonder how players would coup with two different coaches, what I'm intrigued is whether there will be conflict in views and teaching between the coaches when it comes to mental stability. Not everyone think the same.

Flower still has overall control of the team and the buck stops with him, it's just his workload that is being reduced.

The only worry is Warwickshire's T20 campaigns haven't exactly been the best...

Ahan I see, fair enough.

Recently I was amused when South Africa, coach left Australia to join his family during a tour. I was like what the heck is that mate?!
