Just wondering if anyone has any tips for applying grips that are thicker on the bottom half of the grip, as ive never had any problems applying normal grips to bats, but these ones i just seem to get them on properly, they always end up about 2 inches short of the bottom of the handle, also tried rolling them down and this isnt working either is there just getting lumps in the grip (if you know what i mean), tried everything been at it for a good half hour.
Im about to blow my top here haha!

I've literally just put a shock absorba on my Laver.

I used the GM vacuum pump to put mine on, really easy

They're a piece of cake to use. Sometimes you have to use bat tape to seal the ends, especially octopus grips but they do a great job.

If you use more than 2 grips you'll have problems though as it's usually too thick for the pump to pass through. Just a thought.

Force your way through and ensure the bare bottom is covered, then work with your thumb/palm to get rid of lumps.

Easier said than done, GM shock absorba is pain in backside to apply properly

Yeah im finding these are right pain to get it correct at the bottom of the handle, think im problys going to have to give up and get my mates vacuum pump, tried the bag method but may give it one more go with a stronger bag.

Takes a few goes to get it right, i can do it more efficiently than the video now!

If the grip is short after sliding it through the handle, roll it up 3/4 and put two tea towels thin enough to tug it down. Slide the grip back but this time over the towel and pull the towel down and it will bring the grip down with it. It's better shown and than written .

Same here, ended up with bits of broken bag and a stuck grip. Perhaps I needed some lube

washing up liquid or liquid soap is a good lubricant for this method

GM pump is the biggest waste of a fiver ever!  Can't even do a shock-aabsorba with it as it can't get the suction!  It only really works with chevron type grips
