Youth pads
« on: November 29, 2012, 09:26:20 AM »

Am having issues getting youth pads that fit due to such variation in sizes and having short genes.

So was wondering if anyone has some youth pads, whether you could measure from instep to middle of knee and then post the measurement here with the make and model of pad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Size guides on the net vary just as actual measurements of pads do.

Compare the owzat size guide for bats with the GM size guide for bats:
http://www.gm-cricket.com/pages/bat-sizes.aspx

Totally different

yes but i use small mens mate normally and the size is 39mm in my chase and my Australian Ballistics where 40mm.

45mm seems a tad long for Youths but i take your point onboard Sir

But i do see your point there a miss interpretation from youths and small mens

I think 45mm is for Action Man :) but yes, 45cm does sound big. Though we have 2 different models in the Puma 3000 range which vary by 3cm, which shouldn't happen assuming they are made by the same company.
