That is Rod Robot, our team mascot.

There might be a move to change the team's name this year, which will get voted on at our AGM

Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire Premier League.

Wisbech
March
Foxton
St Ives
Cambridge NCI
Ramsey
Godmanchester
Camden
Waresley
Nassington
Sawston
& my club, Castor & Ailsworth

This will be our second season at this level. We stayed up in 2012 which was the pre-season plan. Not bad considering some of the sides we are up against. 2012 champions Foxton spent upwards of £20k on 4 paid players, won the league easily and then declined the opportunity to play in the play-off which takes you to the East Anglian Premier League, madness!

We've made some moves in the transfer market ourselves. Signing a quality bowling all rounder who's played some games for Unicorns, as well as claiming the scalp of KP clean bowled in 2011, I can't wait for bouncy winter nets.............
Jake, do you play at the same ground as Thomas Cook and Cavaliers by any chance? Just curious, as we played there a few times last year!

No their ground (Woodlands) is Peterborough United FC's old training ground, many cricket and football teams without their own ground now rent the pitches out.

Our Cricket ground backs onto it. If you look out towards the two pitches at woodlands from the car park, you will see the tall trees on the opposite boundary to the one you are standing on. Our ground is through those trees.

Lol mate, I'm not there anymore unfortunately. Got fed up of the 50 mile round trip every week from Yeovil, so I'm playing Shrubbery 1 this year. Drop in standard but a good set up, can probably go up for a couple years, and be in the WEPL in 2-3 years time. Standard isn't all that different mate tbh, would back you to score big at Thornbury (very short straight and cow). There are some dross grounds though!

Shrubbery 1 2013-14

Ashbrittle 1
North Petherton 1
Temple Cloud 1
Middlezoy 1
Purnells 1
Kilmington & Stourton 1
North Perrot 1 - Us
Belvedere 1
Cheddar 1

And one other (not sure who)

Pretty poor league in terms of travel to be honest. Been a long time since I'v played that standard as well, so not sure how strong it is but imagine it will be a step down from WEPL!

Who do you play for Tommo? How good were the winners last year? Would you have thought they could over rivaled Norwich?
