Launch of KFC Big Bash League season two sees unveiling of FoxKopter and cameras in players' helmets

As fans around the country gear up for another season of big hits and classic catches, Fox Sports TV and online is ready to bring you closer to the action than ever before.

The biggest Cricket ticket in town is back!

After introducing cricket fans to 'Third Eye' umpire cam and new camera angles from the ‘Fox Mobile’ in season one, FOX SPORTS is taking its KFC T20 Big Bash League coverage to new heights this summer.

Damien Fleming runs the rule over the eight teams in the 2012-13 KFC T20 Big Bash League.

FoxKopter, a revolutionary eight-propeller airborne camera, will provide never-before-seen aerial vision, while BBL |02 will also see a helmet camera on batsmen and wicket-keepers - giving fans a unique view of world-class cricket they’re unlikely to have seen before.

Select players will once again have microphones, meaning there's always a chance we’ll see a repeat of Shane Warne’s famous commentary of a wicket off his own bowling.

The website foxsports.com.au is also going big on the BBL with in-game video highlight packages, match reports and columns from the experts such as Mark Waugh, Brendon Julian and Damien Fleming, as well as the best BBL fantasy game.

FOX SPORTS CEO, Patrick Delany, said: "The inaugural BBL was one of the success stories of the sporting year. Its formula of past greats returning to play alongside young emerging stars in the relaxed, holiday atmosphere of the summer delivered spectacular family entertainment."

"The whole theme around our Big Bash coverage is bringing fans closer to the game. The epitome of that is being inside Shane Warne’s head with an earpiece and microphone, but we’re also enabling people to see the game through the umpire’s eyes, the batsman’s eyes, and from just about every angle possible on the field through Fox Mobile and in the air with FoxKopter."
It's showtime - Who will star in your Fantasy Big Bash team? Register now for your shot at $10,000 in cash prizes.

"The helmet cam is the second generation of the Third Eye umpire camera. It has a larger lense but is light weight and non-obtrusive. It is world class technology. We’ve seen camera views from umpires and stationary objects like stumps, but never before has a camera been attached to a player."

With these exciting innovations set to hit TV screens this summer alongside cricket superstars such as Warne (Melbourne Stars), Chris Gayle and Michael Clarke (Sydney Thunder), Muttiah Muralitharan (Melbourne Renegades), Kieron Pollard and Saeed Ajmal (Adelaide Strikers) and Shane Watson (Brisbane Heat), be sure to tune in for every ball of the Big Bash League, which will be LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on Fox Sports.

Fox Sports is once again the exclusive broadcaster of the BBL, providing LIVE and HIGH DEFINITION coverage of all 35 matches including the BIG Semi Finals and the BIG FINAL on January 19, 2013.

The season begins with a pair of explosive derby matches with Melbourne Renegades hosting Melbourne Stars on Friday 7 December from 6.30pm (EDT) before Sydney Sixers clash with Sydney Thunder from 6.30pm (EDT) on Saturday 8 December, LIVE on Fox Sports 2HD & Fox Sports 2

No but I made one. I bought a Drift Ghost and 'bolted' it to a peak of a baseball cap by making a small hole and using the tripod fixture. A little heavy but worked very well.
