just promotion of the bbl.

doesn't say much for the Aussie spinners that you need a recall for oh shane!

I think that's all he is now - a over-groomed promo tool - the similarities to Beckham are becoming harder and harder to ignore.

He's still one of my idols, though see less and less substance to his actual input to the game. For shame.

And let's face it, he'd probably fall apart after one test. In a complete BBL season he bowls, what, 36 overs? In one test he'd have to bowl 40 or more...

Yeah, huge step backwards. Just Warne trying to keep himself and his franchise in the spotlight.  I keep hearing how 'underrated' Lyons is and yet it would still seem that a 40 something year old Warne with no wrong 'un is considered a better option!

I'm sure Clarke has got much more important things to worry about....... :D

We don't need Shane Warne to make a comeback we just need pace bowlers who can bowl consistent line and length and put pressure on the batsmen so the spinners can come on and do there job... Opening fast bowlers going for 6+ runs per over constantly in a test match is unacceptable and they should be dragged over the coals for it and dropped from the team.

Never had a wrong un...yet still one of the best bowlers in history.

Even at 43 he would eat English batsmen for breakfast.

Having said that, I doubt that he would do it though.

I'd love to see this. He would have 1 good game (hopefully the 1st game) where all the media would get behind him and then hopefully get taken apart and hand England the Ashes.

A great bowler to watch and it would increase the popularity of the game again. Also getting Liz to a few of the games is no bad thing!

No English batsman would take him apart.

They (No Swearing Please) the bed facing Ajmal FFS.

In any case, it is all fluff, because he won't do it.

Unfortunately I beg to differ about no English batsmen taking him apart....

Kevin Pietersen averaged 61 against Warne and hit more sixes off him then any other batsman

You have them. Unfortunately they are not fit enough. Having to change all 3 seamers for the final Test is ultimately what has cost Australia the series V S.A
