What about the Gray Nicolls E41 500? It's got a mid sweet spot and looks great.  Or the kook ricochet? That's just won a bat-off. I will admit that having just bought a dynadrive I think the E41 will be my next purchase!

I must add the shark bat i got from the guys on here was fantastic. hmid-high middle, fantastic response on the blade and i think i only paid £150 for it with the discount code at the time. You will be ruined for choice on here.

As the topic suggests i could do with another bat as everyone at my club has at least 2 bats of more, At the moment i have a Spartan CG Authority i got from Australia no indian rip off, My dilemma is i want to spend about 200 notes on one as i want it to be a good very good spare, i like the idea of a highish middle as i like a good drive, i have been thinking about the new Maverick from GN and also the new V1200 from Slaz,

anyone have any other options i would be glad to hear

i have this for sale

I can second that.  Mine's a fantastic bat and goes like a gun.

So what would people recommend if i want an of the shelf bat, a Gray nicholls E41 or Maverick, and if i went down the custom road, the Laver and wood seems a very nice looking bat and also the Great white Shark bat too looks a belter any opinions are always welcome

You're unlikely to get a brand new Laver for £150, but something might come up in the for sale section.  I almost top edged a 6 with my shark to fine leg last season, which gives you an idea how well it goes!

Here's a review I did a few months back

Is it worth £200 just to fit in with everyone else? That's my first question. If your set on a 2nd bat you can get a lot of bat (all be in 2nd hand) for that money. There have been some cracking M&H bats going for 150 - 180 so my advice would be to try the 2nd hand market. After all, a second bat only sits in the dressing rooms till you get a duck, so you only get it out the game after to try and do something different...... Or is that just me haha

You could get a Vantage Lithium Players I grade for £170 at the moment.

This bat received high praise from a recent gear test where it came out as the best performing bat;

I've a Laver and Wood Ultra that I'd sell on for £150 if you want a Laver.
