Big Bash #2
« on: December 08, 2012, 08:00:05 PM »

So pleased this is on Sky, waking up to live cricket every morning is so good!!

Flashing Stumps & Bails are a great idea, and the umpire cam is brilliant. Luke Wright looked impressive the other night and The Sixers look to've carried their T20 CL form into the competition. Not much Aussie frontline bowling as they are all injured or rested so expect some huge scores!

Yeah I went to the Stars vs Renegades game the other night, was a pretty entertaining game. Reckon the Renegades could have done a bit more in the way of entertainment off the field but I didn't go for the that, I went for the cricket and it was pretty good. Finch was at his destructive best and Warne....  :o Looks like someone won't be making an Ashes return!

Aaron Finch strikes a clean ball!

Couldn't believe it when i saw the game in the Etihad Stadium (normally used for AFL and 'soccer') I lived in an apartment that looked down onto the pitch for a year, never had any cricket on when i was there!

I mostly headed in the other direction if i'm honest, down to the Casino. Plenty of walks home were abandoned at Southern Cross station, usually ending with me asleep in the train carriages....

Saw a boxing day test there, ridiculous atmosphere.

I would think it was a great atmosphere in Etihad for a cricket game, i had plenty of decent nights at the AFL in there.

The AFL games must sell out every week to warrant a stadium the size of the etihad.
