Hi mate, I'm presuming by the looks of it (skimmed through the thread) that they are the Elite pads/gloves?

5 star

Thanks! Does anybody know what the quality is like of the 5 star products? Is it really worthwhile going up to the Oblivion Tests etc.

5 star is pretty good, basic but functional. The elite pad has a proper knee roll and feels sturdier, as well as looking better in my opinion.

I don't like bulky pads so I went with the 5star it's up to personal choice

My two first quality bats were a Newbery Uzi SPS and a GN Powerbow 5 star!
And that 5 star was a blinder! At the moment I still have a GN Obvlivion 4 star which is a great bat!
Don't disreguard a bat because it is supposedly a 'lower grade' model! It may surprise you in the long run!
