Anti-scuff sheet
« on: June 03, 2009, 08:02:42 PM »

Evening everyone,

I have nets tomorrow, and my bat arrived today (cheers Tom), but my anti-scuff sheet didn't (booo to Ebay). If the sheet comes tomorrow, will it be okay to apply it tomorrow, then use it tomorrow night in nets, or does it need a period of time to 'settle' onto the bat or anything?

Cheers

I should be fine to play straight away, what kind of sheet did you order off ebay? Was it a 'batarmour' from a bloke called mitesh - if so dont bother putting it on, if not then you'll be fine!  Just make sure you havnt oiled the surface as this will cause it to stick badly, if at all.

It is a batarmour sheet yes, and the seller is, unfortunatley called m1t35h :(

Should I buy a new one then?

If i was you yes. I bought a couple and they are rubbish, they are fablon which is a cheap material that will brake and often become brittle, really no good for bats. I think your much better off shelling out that extra 2/3 pounds and getting something quality - quite a few people on the forum have the better quality sheets and do them at a better price than ebay.
Hope this helps
