Slazenger V1200 Bag
« on: December 16, 2012, 04:15:12 PM »

Another fruit of my visit to IJC was the Slazenger V1200 Wheelie Stand Up bag, I was desperately looking for a bag to store all the kit that I have accumulated in, rather than the 2 or 3 bags I was using and this fits the bill.  I also had the wife's blessing on his purchase as I told it it wouldn't take up as much space!  :)

So what do you get? The main compartment is big enough to fit in 2 pairs of pads Strippers or other thigh protectors and gloves.  There's also a zipped mesh area which can easily store a set of whites.  The smaller compartment can take any helmet whether it be Albion, Ayrtek, or Masuri, there's easily enough space.  I've also been able to store a couple of pairs of gloves in there as well.

The bat vault is well padded and holds 3 bats.  The wet vault can probably store 2 pairs of boots as well.  The bag also has 2 fairly discreet side pockets.  It stands up really well and should fit decently in most cars, although I'll stick to my Shamrock Duffle for away games.

Anyway here are the pictures;

This looks fantastic Charlie, how does it compare to your other bags is it much bigger?

Kit looks great as well, definately wouldn't mind seeing some pictures of it.

Looks good, what's the dimensions? And is the pic of the bag full when stood up?

The measurements are 100x40x40, compared to other Slazenger bags I've used and seen it's a hell of a lot better quality, and is well compartmentalised, alongside my Shamrock Duffle this really is up there with some of my purchases.

I'm waiting for one more addition to my kit and will put up kit pictures then!

Looks like an impressive bag, these Slazenger bags have greatly impressed me.

Is that how much kit you carry to games?  :o

I think Slazenger have always produced decent bags, they just needed to get their colour scheme right, and they've definitely done that for 2013, in my opinion.

Cheers for the review, Charlie, and glad you managed to fit everything in comfortably!

Haha no chance, although as 6XI skipper on occasion the extra kit might come in handy!

No worries Paul, good to finally meet you and see your shop, it's a really nice little set up you have there, I'm sure I'll be paying you many more visits!

Just stumbled upon this thread as ive been looking for a new bag for next season and in time for nets etc.
Just wondering if anyone knows how durable these Slaz bags are? I stupidly bought a Slaz bag from Sports Direct last season to tie me over as my old bag finally packed in. I found that within 1 weeks worth of use nearly every zip had exploded and it was fairly useless. Basically wondering if these are any built any better?

The bag look quality. Do you mind if I ask how much it was. Also why not away games? you worried it will be too big for some of the away teams changing rooms?

The ones on sports direct are the lower end ones and are pretty rubbish.

The V1200, V360 duffle/holdall, the V800 and the tan leather bags are fantastic. along with the standard duffle, they are the only Slazenger bags we stock.

how does the bag do standing on it's end. I thought I saw at the Lords trade show a Slaz that was designed to stand upright.
