Kranzbuhler Custom
« on: December 22, 2012, 09:26:43 AM »

Sorry no pics but I seen one of these in action today and it was seriously pingtastic. With a gentle whip on leg side this thing put the ball to the boundary and over the boundary with the greatest of ease. Pick up was spectacular with some light concaving and approx 9 straightish grains... His other bat was a brand new Scat signed by Julian... Very nice as well but didn't seem to ping as spectacular as the GN.. Not yet anyway.

P.S Village Trundler was the guy who used the GN so just ask him about the performance of this thing

Mate of mine had a custom bat made by him and had it stickered as a county. It was an absolute beast: Awesome ping, huge Edges, big profile and no concaving what so ever - no idea what it actually weighed but it didn't feel heavier than 2lb 7oz's. Haven't seen anything like it before or since, really was a beauty.

Yeah, opener against us this morning was using a Legend, not sure if custom or off-the-shelf, but he was hitting straight down the ground so easily, raced away.

GCCC over here do days where he comes in and makes 5 or 6 bats for the day - So gotta be quick in booking appointments

Yeah think that was a similar sort of an arrangement for the owner of this too. Said he made 4 or 5.

The bat is seriously amazing, I'm still firing off knuckle babies in the shower over the poorly timed misshits that sailed to the boundary like I'd middled them.

Nothing like any other gn I've used.

I've got 2 GN Legend bats, both about 4-5 years old, easily the best bats I've ever used and IMO well worth the hefty price tag. Both were made by Stuart at GN's Melbourne factory in Cheltenham (however I have since heard that they have moved from there...).

In Perth, Meulemans have a XXX Hand Crafted line made by SK, a lot of the lads at my club use these bats and they are immense, massive profile and edges but pick up very well with minimal concaving at the back.

Love the standard Legend shape, but can never get along that well with GN handles. Too round and thin!
